Our History

Founded in 1946 , we are one of the most active clubs in Scotland currently with around 20 members.

Our objectives are to:

• maintain a club for members to play chess;
• promote chess through recruitment of players of all ages and abilities;
• provide tuition for beginners;
• provide the opportunity to compete individually for club trophies and as members of teams in League matches.
• All within a friendly and sociable atmosphere.

The club meets on Mondays (Sept. to May) from 6.45 p.m. in the Del Farquharson Centre, Nethertown Broad Street, Dunfermline.
